We all have to deal with this sooner or later, so let's get it done sooner!
Homework (n)- TORTURE ON PAPER!!!!!!! We all hate it, but we all have to deal with it SOME time in life, whether you're not yet in school, an elementary schooler, studying spelling homework, a middle/high schooler, desperately trying to avoid it (we've all been there), a college student trying to write a paper, or an adult reminiscing about school. This post is for you! Now lets jump right in.
Homework Tips
1) Find your space.
This might not sound important, but it is. Finding a space to chill, no distractions, is a great way to just hunker down and get 'er done. Mine is a small desk in the corner of my bright lime green bedroom. I either do my homework there, or at the kitchen table with my mom. Remember to have plenty of pens, pencils, and paper.
2) Don't work on an empty stomach! I can't express how important it is for you to have at least SOMETHING to eat before you do what you've got to do. You can't do your best when your stomach is growling and you're starving. Apples, peanuts, bread, or cheese are great meatless snacks for you vegetarians (my mom is a vegetarian, so it's veggie burgers, which I think are delicious, for dinner). Remember to eat foods filled with protein, which will fill you up. I like to chew gum when I'm doing hw, it keeps me from thinking about dinner.
3) Listen to music. For those who get distracted easily, this tip is not for you. But for those of you who don't mind music, read on! I can't do anything without music. I move to it, I dance to it, I'm listening to it while I write this! I like to listen to songs that pump me up to do homework, it takes a lot to get me excited about anything school-related (besides writing!), so if I listen to motivating music, it helps!
4) Don't forget to ask for help! When you need help, don't be afraid to FaceTime or Skype a friend for help! I always do this with my besties and even random guys in the class. And don't forget about the ones who created you! Your parents love you and will always be there, when friends might not.
